- Excellent piece by @seldo.com I’ve noted some connections on Semble: semble.so/url?id=https... imo protective, ‘fair source’ licensing applied sparingly is perfectly compatible with commercialized registries and helps draw clearer boundaries where there currently are none.
- Also the greatest breach of consent in human history. Not the most egregious, since it doesn’t directly cause bodily harm the way wars and enslavement do. But the scale of AI is unprecedented; never before has this many people been acted upon against their will by a technology they may not even use.
- idk, having worked all my life as the soft-skills weirdo alongside brilliant coders, my sentiment was never “we need 10x more engineering output” my impression was always: engineers are overburdened with responsibilities and need more breathing room; we’re asking too much instead of thinking small.
